Our Strategy for Disciple-Making

Create and maintain a safe and relational culture which develops, promotes and sustains the believers’ desire for and pursuit of the Christ-centered lifestyle.

Our Goal for Disciple-Making: The Christ-Centered Lifestyle

1.  Loving God (Matt. 22:37-38)

a.  Pursuing intimacy with God by worshiping Him every day, both in private and in the company of other believers.

b.  Growing spiritually with intentionality by learning more about the Christian faith and applying the principles of Jesus’ teaching in my daily life.

2.  Loving My Family (Matt. 22:39)

a.  Loving my family by modeling a Spirit-led lifestyle to my children and to making my home a sanctuary for God where my children are taught His ways. Spending time in ministering to family, learning to nurture and love each family member.

b.  Loving my church family by forming relationships with other believers, providing not only encouragement to each other, but also mutual caring for spiritual integrity.

3.  Serving Humanity (Rom. 15:2)

a.  Serving other people by demonstrating the selfless example of Jesus of ministering to other people’s needs.

b.  Using my spiritual gifts in serving my small group, my church and my community.

4.  Sharing the Good News (Mark 16:15-18)

            a.  Sharing my faith story with others.

b.  Developing skills in sharing the gospel with others on a one-to-one basis (low-key/high impact conversations about truth and purpose).

c.  Praying for and cultivating relationships with unchurched friends and family members.

d.  Performing miracles to foster the opportunity to discuss the source of their power.

5.  Fulfilling My Life Mission (Matt. 5:13-16; John 17:18, 20-23)

a.  Deriving my sense of meaning, purpose and direction from my intimacy with God.

b.  Trusting Jesus in all issues by seeking His guidance and supernatural blessing in all my decisions.

c.  Investing my time, talents and health toward the fulfillment of my God-given dreams.

d.  Using my resources (money, food, clothing, housing, relationships, influence, skills, and time) to benefit others and to transform society.

Our Teaching Method

We will carry out culture creation and disciple-making through an intentional system of teaching, mentoring, coaching, modeling and valuing/honoring within church-sponsored corporate activities and programs and within personal relationships in families and spiritual communities of believers.
